okay okay. so tomorrow's the first day of school. a few things you guys nida take note of.
one. well, school IS starting, so obviously you guys will have to adjust to doing homeowkr again. for all you gamers and procrastinators, it's time to exercise some good old self discipline and get down to work.
two. the great massacre (EOYs) are two weeks away starting tomorrow, so start panicking! steal, rob, copy, by any means get your notes, practices, revisions and start doing it PRONTO. 2 weeks isn't that much time to revise so many subs. though the teachers will give revision, try to do some extra while you can. after all, no harm in doing more than less.
three. CCAs are off for about one month from next week. so most importantly, remember to maintain all-rounded development. yes, i sound like your mum, or miss ek. but it is important. sports people remember not to slack off, do some training or physical exercise in your free time. clubs and societies people can um... do what you do in the drama studio or com lab. except, at home. infocomm people can always learn new programming stuff on google. CLDDS people can always practice scripts at home. since nobody is looking, it'll probably feel better. for those in aesthetics just remember to keep practicing those few important pieces to keep in 'shape'. nothing to do? take up your instrument and start practicing. for those UG people it should be like, quite slack for you coz all your activities involve platoon mates, squad mates, equipment blablabla. i know you guys'll think of something.
four. manage time. since the great massacre is just around the corner, MAKE SURE YOU REVISE. i'm sure none of us wants a class average of like, 1.5. yeah. so, study hard.
i quote the whipwielder. 'it's going to get tougher, not easier.'
so. it's. time. to. pull. up. our. socks. and. show. the. world. what. 3. i. is. made. of.
(besides flesh, bones and muscle of course)

okay then, let's see what the damage is, shall we?
Language Arts:
Don't forget to prepare your speech on the preservation of a building in S'pore. Slideshows(visual aid) is due on wednesday(09/09/09) and presentations start first week of school in index order. Yes, Averil, that means you. Do remember slideshows can only consist of one slide, so make it impactful. no animation is allowed, no sound too. it'd be best to practice, you know, recite a few times in front of the mirror, coz you're not allowed to bring in a script. Yeah, so to all you procrastinators out there, better start writing and remembering, or you'll probably end up stuttering your way through the whole thing. For those who don't feel like dragging their arses to find a building, here's a useful link: reclaimland.sg/rl/ As for the speech, keep in mind which question you chose. if it's (a), to a board of managers, then i suggest you take a formal tone. for (b), to classmates, you can write the speech in the tone of this post.
Chinese:
There is a chinese worksheet, i think. I vaguely recall her giving something out, just can't quite put my finger on it. Eh, come on lor, you got pay attention during chinese one meh? anyway, besides that, those in the chinese remedial class can log on to IVLE for further practice. Though i'm pretty sure no one will. Just try, okay?
Physics:
here we go again. okay, at least this time we have no past year papers. what we do have, is assignment 11, on pressure. remember that the make-up class is on Friday morning at lab 2, so don't be late or you'll end up standing outside. Things to bring for the make-up include your long ruler, pencil box, calculator, your brain, and your physics files(just in case). She'll be going through the test, then move on to the thermal notes, so do remember to bring your notes. otherwise like Averil. *SIIIIAAAAAAKKK*
Chemistry:
Not much to do actually. for those of us who actually understand what's being taught, you're kinda safe already. for those of us who don't, i'd advise revision during the course of this holiday. since we already have the topic list, just try to reinforce the concepts and equations. Lastly, there is also a Chemistry assignment on Rate of Reaction. please remember to do, otherwise Mr Lee has to beg us for 4 weeks then end up giving us the answers in class again.
SCS:
Only one worksheet to do. i think it's graded. do it even if it's not please. Powerpoint slides are all on IVLE, download, then just transfer it on paper.
Math:
Revise your trigo and make sure to finish worksheet 11 and 12. for worksheet 12, skip all questions on elevation and depression. For the revision worksheets, i quote Mr Liu. "dun lost can oready lah."
Literature:
Ms Teo probably takes a century to mark the tests. ah well, there's only an essay to do, on the elements on a novel. namely plot, characterization, themes, socio-cultural setting and writer's techniques. the task is to pick 2 of these and write 3 paragraphs for each element, kinda simple actually. "it's elementary, dear Watson." please laugh.
History:
i don't really know what homework there is for history, but you can always ask Cyrus the pro historian. If even he doesn't know, then either it's gonna rain rabbits, or he's got a bad memory. can't blame him. blame bunnyprecipitation.
Geography:
who am i kidding. the PRCs probably memorized the whole frickin homework list. i don't even need to include this subject. for those PRCs who (one in 5million chance) don't know, please consult another.
okay. finally, we're done. i'm not going to wish you happy holidays coz i think it's cruel to rub it in. kinda ironic how teachers give out homework and still have the cheek to say happy holidays. ah well. when the going gets tough, the tough start eating.
now where's my donut.

as he lay there, motionless, hitless, on the cold cyber floor.
the binary code in a flashy green colour. beside him the others flourished.
but he lay there dying. he lay there disabled due to poor html coding, with his visitors unable to scroll down.
but an Inkblot painted him, and set him on his feet. he felt revived and alive.
yea. we renewed the class blog.

hey guys! so, it's been a long time since the last post as all the Inkblots have been busy. but we were thinking of making some changes to our class geography. so, to facilitate the democracy in class, polls will be set up to get your opinion and what you want. as we all are lazy people who do NOT like to stay back for class committee meetings, we will keep that to a minimum but we need you to participate in the polls. though this might appear as a desperate effort to gain readership, it's not.
okie dokie. first poll. we really need a class notice board. and in the light that our class doesn't have one, and that our notices change more frequently than babies' diapers, we suggest post-it notes and other non permanent adhesives like tape. on our walls. so for example, if someone put a notice, you can paste a post-it beside the notice and write further details/comments. other classmates can also post queries, comments or random quotes on the wall. and since everything is non-permanent like post-its, it won't do any harm. this notice board will also be used for homework and announcements so think carefully.
another alternative would be to make the windows our class notice board. this might take some distraction away and our walls are kinda cramped up already.
or, we could just magnet the notices up on the wall behind the teacher. but we tried that, and not many people really went to look. besides, it's not really fun, is it?
okay, so the poll(s) will be up on the right hand side of the blog.
----->
so you guys won't have to keep referring to the same post when new ones push it to the bottom. okay, till next time.

hey guys! this has been a relatively short week, with only 3 days. woots! anyways today is supposed to be our e-learning, and surprisingly there is more work than our school fee's worth(ain't that always the case?). here is a simple list.
Language Arts:
- Comprehension and summary exercise of the Present Perfect Entrepreneur Issue
HCL:
- Download 综合填空 and 理解问答 from IVLE, and complete it. There is also the essay of 250 words on either the topics of 1)请谈谈H1N1甲型流感如何影响了你的生活? or 2)请谈谈你对美国巨星麦克杰逊突然逝世的新闻有何想法.
Maths:
- There's a Logarithms quiz on Ace-Learning.(Hey, at least its not IVLE...) There will be a time limit though, so watch out! =D Oh, and let's not forget about the worksheet on Exponential Curves, which will be due on monday.
Physics:
- We're supposed to download a powerpoint from IVLE(again), and take note of the questions that'll pop out. Oh, and there is an "Assignment 10" which we are SUPPOSED to do, but I don't think anyone could find it yet. Oh well, another reason to be shouted in class again.*Shrugs*
Chemistry:
- Read page 1-9 of the recently given out notes on Acids, Bases and Salts. Then, write out on a word document on 3 important concepts that you've learnt, 2 things that you are unsure of, and 1 question that is not covered in the notes, and upload it onto IVLE.
History:
There is no homework, apparantly.Just like physics, nothing can be found on IVLE, despite given instructions. So... please wait till further notice!
Lit:
- Read the first few chapters of your respective books, and identify the different literary devices given in the list.
Geog:
- Read up on the "River Energy Hydrograph", whatever that is..
Last, but definitely NOT least...
SCS:
- We have to complete the "See, think, wonder" routine worksheet, which we have to download from... IVLE again!! (Why do you think they call it e-Learning?)
Thats all, apparantly. Now now, there's no reason for panic, as its mostly due on monday, EXCEPT for chemistry, 'cause its due TODAY. at 5p.m. Means that if you haven't uploaded your word document on IVLE, and you're still reading this(obviously you are),
you're freaking screwed/dead good luck!
=D
happy homework-ing!

okay guys. here's the thing. swine flu. well, as you can tell, this flu thing is kinda getting outta hand. yeah, it'd be like, code black by now. paranoia is thicker in the air than love is on February 14th. so this is just a kind reminder to 3impasto to remember to keep healthy and therefore happy. Though we are not really sure health leads to happiness, we
are sure that unhealthiness certainly won't. so, right now, it'd probably be best to avoid large crowds, and like, constantly take your temperature. to those that went overseas during the june holidays, please please
inoculate yourselves, sterilise, and go jump off a cliff take care. right now paranoia and the thermometer are your best friends, so take them with you wherever you go. if you have a fever, or are no feeling well, see a doctor, just in case. for those whose parents are doctors,
gg to you be glad your folks are actually helping those in need. people, this thing is really serious. and, like all pandemics, lots of people will die. the disease will spread like something that spreads very quickly. and some smart ass will come up with a cure. blah blah blah. yadda yadda yadda. and just wait. twenty years later, we'll be laughing about this while worrying about, i don't know, armadillo flu?
take care, take precautions, and TAKE YOUR TEMPERATURE
cheers,
Inkblots.
